Peak Energy Services Trust reports Q1 profit of $3.1 million, down from year ago (Peak-Energy-Services)

calgary _ peak energy services trust (tsx:pes.un) said tuesday it earned $3.1 million, down from $5.3 million a year ago.the calgary-based trust said the profit amounted to 10 cents per element destined for the three months ended walk 31 compared with a profit of 19 cents per unit a year ago.quarterly interest was $37.9 million, up from $36.2 million.units in the trust, which reported its results after the place off limits of markets, were down four cents at $3.47 on the toronto stock exchange on tuesday.last month, peak signed a deal to sell its cased hole wireline assets to canadian sub-surface vivacity services corp. for $6.5 million.the trust said its carrying value of the assets which include five cased hole wireline units, two picker trucks along with all related galvanizing line tools and appurtenances is $6.7 million.
